A Strong Foundation
When we're entrusted with our clients’ facilities, our philosophy is one of “considerate stewardship” — striking a critical balance between being effective and maintaining the pristine integrity of the properties in our care. They must be fervently protected yet gently handled. This stewardship pervades whether the client facilities are historic or non-historic, whether they are on Park lands or in a National Forest, whether they are five-star or two-star.
We view ourselves as visitors, operating in our clients’ homes and, as such, we recognize that we serve as stewards of those facilities. Our responsibilities vary depending on our client requirements. Sometimes we're asked to maintain facilities, other times to upgrade and improve. In all cases, we perform our responsibilities and prioritize our clients’ aspirations.
Our goals are to protect, conserve, and preserve. This philosophy is especially important with respect to those buildings and cultural landscapes that are classified as historic properties. For these properties, we recognize a greater responsibility for stewardship — taking actions to ensure that these properties are preserved and maintained throughout the period of our contract, with an ongoing objective to improve their condition while respecting their historical significance.
