| In 1974, ARAMARK managed its first conference center. Since then, the company has grown to operate a portfolio of more than 50 corporate, educational and resort hospitality properties nationally, plus dozens more overseas. Today, that first conference center—the then-new Xerox Documents University in Leesburg, Virginia—is still one of the properties we manage. Many organizations that have selected ARAMARK over the past three decades continue to be our clients today. In 2002, it grew stronger when ARAMARK Conference Centers merged with Harrison Conference Centers to create ARAMARK Parks and Destinations. With this acquisition, ARAMARK Parks and Destinations became the largest management company in the conference centers and collegiate hotels niche of the lodging industry. With the addition of ARAMARK Parks and Destinations , the portfolio expanded with extraordinary choices for business and leisure.
